Finish What You Started

Again, I have shamefully neglected this corner of the internet.  Why does blogging strike me as -  Well, as a matter of fact, I suppose that blogging just doesn't strike me.  There's a chance I may never get this right.  But I reluctantly refuse to shirk my obligation to maintain this post for those who want to know about our recent and upcoming goings-on without succumbing to the machinations of Zuckerberg world.

ALAS, Real Good is recording a full-length record, our first, titled "A Boy Named Good."  We've been laying down the law, as well as our tunes, on the warm crisp tones of analog tape at Project Sound in Haverhill, MA.  See here for proof:

We are very pleased with the way this is going so far, and our man behind the dials, Jay Duguay, has been a supreme talent and friend on this.  We are thankful for his labor thus far, and will be returning to continue and finish tracking this upcoming weekend.

The album will feature a number within the ballpark of 13 tracks, including some re-recordings of old songs, and some first time chops at new ones as well.  We're still unsure of which format it's going to find its way onto, but the artwork is going to be done by Jacob Pastrovich and the album will be released on i love to hate records and clubhouse records.  We're currently shooting for an early summer release, which will hopefully be followed by a quick round of tour dates.

In the meantime, we also have a handful of other gigs in the works...

Friday, March 22 @ The Meat Locker, Montclair NJ w/ Deep Pockets
Saturday, April 20 @ The Lamp Post, Jersey City NJ w/ Risk Relay

Plus other gigs in the region that may include Long Island, Philadelphia, Boston, and Brooklyn...

Keep ya in the reel-to-real,

John / RG
